How to Determine What to Order:
String the pole sections together. Of the two pole ends, look for the one that is slightly shorter. This is pole section #1. Count over the pole sections 1-8. When ordering a replacement section, tell us what number of section you need and what diameter it is. Our poles have evolved over the years and the way to identify what you have depends which model tent; diameter and color of the poles. The older style poles for the front of a 2R tent are a golden color and 5/8" inch diameter. This older style pole is no longer manufactured and more expensive. A less expensive alternative to the golden 5/8" inch pole is the 7/16" inch diameter pole in black or silver color. The rear pole for the 2R is the same diameter of 3/8" and length, on the old and new poles. The length of these poles may vary due to our cut lengths and personal touch on each tent made. When ordering a whole new section the length should be measured from the original, if possible, using a sewist tape or a string to run along the top of the pole as it is laying flat on the floor. If you have a model 3R or 5R, the pole lengths and diameters are the same throughout the whole tent. If you have a Climber tent the rear pole is longer than the 2R models and should be measured accordingly. If you are unsure feel free to email or call us before purchasing.
